This week's publication was delayed because yours Truly drove all night from Paris to Degmarn

All in all, there are exactly two pieces of news: first, the doctors have finally let me go for a walk, and second, I’m back in Germany. On the one hand, this is good news; on the other hand, there’s also some bad news - our adventure in Germany is coming to an end. Yes, the original plan was for us to stay here for about six months, but that’s just how it turned out

It’s probably worth talking about this unexpected conclusion later as well, but only after we’ve wrapped up all the formalities and held Demo Day - which, by the way, is tomorrow, June 23 (I just don’t know who reads the emails and the website, or when they do)

A quick recap of the rest of the week: we spent a day at VivaTech on Saturday, the public day when there are the most attendees. It was tough switching back and forth between three languages, but I managed to get through it. I did, however, set a record for losing my voice around 1 p.m. - it usually lasts longer than that, or maybe I’m just losing my touch at this

As mentioned above, my recovery after surgery is going very well, and overall, there are only a few weeks left before I can finally start doing something active again. I’ll start with walking and move on to running a little later, since it’s still too early for that. And, unfortunately, cycling will be the last activity I’ll be able to resume

But for now, we should be happy with even the little things

On the other hand, Western Europe is experiencing scorching heat - around 44 degrees in the Paris area and 36 degrees today in Degmarn - but Germany has a certain advantage: it’s less densely populated, there are fewer cars, and so the air is cleaner, making the heat somehow easier to bear

For those of you following the story about the apartment - nothing’s happening there yet, because the lawyers are asking for a lot of paperwork, and I just don’t have the time right now to get it all done

That's about it - drink plenty of water, take care of your health, and don't go for a walk at noon
