Hey there, my dear reader,

I guess since this is the fifth edition, I’m supposed to share some brand-new news, but nope. Not a damn thing. Not at all. The topic of this edition is - once again - this damn move

This is a scheduled post that I’m writing in between packing my things and loading them into the car. So by the time it goes live on the website, I’ll be somewhere on the road between France and Germany - with a stop in Bern, Switzerland

That’s why these illustrations of the cat’s expression capture exactly how I feel. I just want to sit down in the middle of the room and go,

"AAAAAAa, fuck, I’m so fucking tired of this ... "

There. I’ve said it

But life goes on. It’s just another move, and this time it’s for 3 to 6 months. Then you’ll read my post about coming back, our business trips from Heilbronn to Paris, and from Paris to Luxembourg. In short, it’s been a pretty hectic life, but can we slow down a bit now?

Honestly, I don’t really have much to say about the past week - it’s been a bit of an energy-saving mode. I haven’t been in the office, except for today. We sorted through everything we need to take with us and what we need to leave behind, and we’ll probably be leaving Station F by September. We said goodbye to the colleagues who were still at work on Saturday. And that’s about it. Well, the evenings this week were devoted to the stable, where we sometimes hung out for four hours straight. So overall, my nerves are back in check, and I got to pet the horses to my heart’s content

While I was at it, I stopped by my old address to check if any mail had piled up there, since I’d updated my new address everywhere - though maybe not everywhere. And well, it might already be on its way. Anyway, that’s about it here too; I just had a smoke on the alley where, over the past four years, probably more than a thousand cigarettes have been smoked

I can say with almost 100% certainty that everything that could be done has been done, and everything that could be forgotten has been forgotten. And speaking of funny things, on April 17 I’ll be back in Paris - just for a day, though - to pick up some documents. Then again in May

I think I’ll quote a classic to wrap things up:

“... My old life is over, and I haven’t had time to build a new one...”

Those in the know already know, but I’ll tell the rest of you once it all comes to a close

See you in Germany!
