According to reports, aircraft have already been deployed there, and a section of the A6 highway - which runs from Paris and passes nearby - has been closed ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/07/2026-07-13-13.13.05.jpg) ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/07/2026-07-13-13.12.59-1.jpg) The famous firefighters' balls and multiple fireworks displays scheduled for July 14 have been canceled due to the weather and the risk of fire ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/07/2026-07-13-13.13.15.jpg) > As I'm writing this column, my phone displayed a notification For now, the danger level remains at red (the highest) in most regions, with no chance of it dropping to a lower level, so let’s drink more water and avoid going outside after 11 a.m. if we can help it. And don’t play with fire --- As you can imagine, I ended up back in France, where we had the fantastic Raise Summit earlier this week - we were among the top 10 finalists (technically the top 5, but for Google for Startups / Google DeepMind). We didn’t take first place in the pitch competition, but overall, it was great just to be there and participate Meanwhile, I’m sorting out some issues with my hospital bills. They actually have a whole service where you can pay by card on their website! Apparently, not everything was covered by insurance, but oh well. I hardly use the bandage anymore (first of all, it’s hot, and second, there’s nowhere left to put it), which is also a bonus. But I’m not even thinking about sports yet, because just the thought of going outside for a run gives me heatstroke So for now, all my workouts are on hold, but I can’t say I’ve actually gained that much weight during these months off, since my body still burns about 3,000 calories at rest, and I’m still wary of pushing myself too hard. Who knows what could happen in this kind of weather - or in general That's all for this week - take care of yourselves, and drink lots of water ! --- A little Easter treat for my online readers - if you leave your address via the contact form, I'll send you a postcard from France ### Weekly Bullshit Roundup #16 URL: https://www.krdn.io/weekly-bullshit-roundup-16/ Last updated: 2026-07-05T19:34:39.000Z I like this scene. I like how the field is divided into two parts in it It’s kind of like where I am right now, living between two countries. I’m wrapping up my adventure in Germany and heading back home to France. The ENDOless adventure in Germany has come to an end for this stage of my life. They didn’t extend our participation; they gave us the **"cringe"** of the moment, as they say these days Long story short, it was great, but at some point things just didn't work out. Cool people, interesting projects, but ... There's always a “but.” In our case, as they told us, they weren't interested in our project ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/07/DSC_7839.jpg) I have a couple of comments on this, but I’ll hold off. For now, at least. In any case, as far as I’m concerned, the project has come to an end in Germany and is entering a new phase in France. We made it **into the top 10 (!) startups** selected for the **Raise AI Summit**, which will take place on July 8 & 9 in Paris. So it’s high time to return to our home waters It won't be long before we're back at Station F and back to our usual routine ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/07/DSC_7841.jpg) Speaking of my routine, there’s more good news - for a week now, I’ve been able to move around comfortably for more than three hours straight and cover more than 10 km at a time, and overall, the post-surgery recovery process seems to have reached its natural conclusion. All that’s left is to get my doctor to confirm this, and maybe I’ll be able to run again. I’d really like that All that’s left is to overcome depression and anxiety, but these are the times we’re living in. But let’s not dwell on the sad stuff. Anyway, tomorrow we’re heading to Paris, and then I’ll be enjoying baguettes and croissants again. But I won’t be happy about the number on the scale - someone’s probably put on a few pounds during this forced vacation. But whatever - as soon as I’m allowed to work out again, the weight will drop like a rock. We’ve been there, done that So, it's not like I have a ton of news this week - but I'll share what I have. On the one hand, this is good news; on the other hand, there’s also some bad news - our adventure in Germany is coming to an end. Yes, the original plan was for us to stay here for about six months, but that’s just how it turned out It’s probably worth talking about this unexpected conclusion later as well, but only after we’ve wrapped up all the formalities and held Demo Day - which, by the way, is tomorrow, June 23 (I just don’t know who reads the emails and the website, or when they do) --- A quick recap of the rest of the week: we spent a day at VivaTech on Saturday, the public day when there are the most attendees. It was tough switching back and forth between three languages, but I managed to get through it. I did, however, set a record for losing my voice around 1 p.m. - it usually lasts longer than that, or maybe I’m just losing my touch at this As mentioned above, my recovery after surgery is going very well, and overall, there are only a few weeks left before I can finally start doing something active again. I’ll start with walking and move on to running a little later, since it’s still too early for that. And, unfortunately, cycling will be the last activity I’ll be able to resume ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/06/2252025_Image.png) But for now, we should be happy with even the little things On the other hand, Western Europe is experiencing scorching heat - around 44 degrees in the Paris area and 36 degrees today in Degmarn - but Germany has a certain advantage: it’s less densely populated, there are fewer cars, and so the air is cleaner, making the heat somehow easier to bear For those of you following the story about the apartment - nothing’s happening there yet, because the lawyers are asking for a lot of paperwork, and I just don’t have the time right now to get it all done That's about it - drink plenty of water, take care of your health, and don't go for a walk at noon ### Thoughts aloud: La canicule URL: https://www.krdn.io/thoughts-aloud-la-canicule/ Last updated: 2026-06-18T21:38:52.000Z There's a special word for the total bullshit that's going on in the streets of Paris right now - “La Canicule” A heat wave - as people commonly call it - where it's nearly 40 degrees outside, and you don't just not want to leave the house unless you absolutely have to; you basically don't feel like moving at all Today was still relatively bearable, even though my Garmin read 37 degrees on my wrist, but on Saturday, when we’ll be at VivaTech with our booth, the outdoor temperature is expected to be around 37, and it’s scary to even think about what it’ll be like indoors - especially since we were at the expo today, and even though we could feel the air conditioners running, it didn’t seem like they were keeping up Overall, it won't be boring, but I fucking hate the heat ... ### Photos: The Apple Thief URL: https://www.krdn.io/photos-the-apple-thief/ Last updated: 2026-06-18T11:57:25.000Z Just look at that ugly mug - it stole the neighbor’s apple and is sitting there smug as can be. You come home and there’s a bloody fucking massacre on your couch, with the poor bird’s remains scattered all over the blanket and the couch. And while they were at it, they shit all over my favorite hoodie, which has been with me - if I’m not lying - for about seven years, maybe a little longer. I think it went with me to Iceland, and that feels like it was in another life Basically, these woolly devils keep me from getting cooped up at home, and they add a bit of variety to the whole routine, though sometimes they take unnecessary risks with their own safety. But if any of them ends up six feet under, it’s their own bad luck And yes, I still love dogs, even if that love is put to the test almost every day According to the doctor, my recovery is going extremely well - at least that’s what he says. Given the nature of the wound and its location, I can’t really judge for myself, so I’ll have to take his word for it for now, and then you’ll have to take mine There’s a good chance that after VivaTech in Paris, I’ll finally be able to return to Germany to recover and finish my treatment there But we’ll see - I’m not ready to say anything about it or make any plans just yet By the way, if any Parisians are reading this and will be at VT, come say hi - we’ll have a booth there on Saturday, and we can meet and chat in person And finally, this week I’m meeting with my lawyers at City Hall to make one last attempt at an out-of-court settlement regarding the return of my apartment deposit. If that doesn’t work out - well, then fuck it - I’ll just have to take it to the commission and then to court See you soon, and take care ! ### News #4 URL: https://www.krdn.io/news-4/ Last updated: 2026-06-12T12:08:53.000Z A quick update on the site: email notifications have been disabled for all sections except “**News**” and “**Weekly Bullshit**”, because even though the frequency isn't very high, some of the emails were ending up in spam - which isn't great. Curtains, some minor repairs, and so on. And bills for trash removal and other bills spanning 3 (!) years. And all of this without any receipts, invoices, or any proof of their expenses whatsoever. To which we responded with a long, thoughtful letter telling them to go fuck themselves. Thoughtful indeed - about six pages of carefully crafted text explaining in detail where and how we were wrong And do you know what happened after we sent our point-by-point response? (By the way, I can let loose here, but over there I’m polite yet firm.) They just quietly closed the case Well, what can I say? This week I’m finishing up the application for an out-of-court dispute resolution, and after that, let the commission deal with them And at some point, it started to occur to me that maybe even the apartment owner isn't fully aware of the trouble brewing, but on the other hand, by law, the agency is the official representative, so any internal communication issues are really their problem The previous part is [here](https://www.krdn.io/thoughts-aloud-the-apartment-battle/) ### Weekly Bullshit Roundup #12 URL: https://www.krdn.io/weekly-bullshit-roundup-12/ Last updated: 2026-06-07T14:36:46.000Z Somehow the week just flew by; overall, I can’t say I was doing much of anything besides recovering. The whole week was like a classic version of Groundhog Day: I woke up, the nurse came in, changed my bandages, and then it was work, eat, sleep On the bright side, the doctors say the healing is going pretty well, and it’ll probably take another couple of months before I can get back to my usual routine. That’s definitely good news I’ve started seeing friends again on a fairly regular basis, and I’ve been heading over to Station F again - just a couple of times so far, but since they haven’t blocked my pass, I might as well take advantage of it This whole apartment situation is turning into such a complete farce that I don’t even know whether to laugh or cry. It’s just a total mess with no end in sight. The funniest part is that with every move the agency makes, they just dig themselves deeper into a hole - why? … There’s no answer; they must have decided we’re just dumb foreigners who won’t do anything about it. They were wrong - we will ... Corresponding with them certainly feels more like a legal hassle at this point, but what can you do? All in all, since the outcome of this whole exchange seems a foregone conclusion, all that’s left is to ask my wife for a power of attorney so I can officially act on her behalf in court if necessary, and then hit send on the formal complaint to the commission - and just wait for the time to pass until the first hearing ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/06/2136471_Image.png) We'll see how it goes and how it turns out; I'll post updates on this from time to time. Although there's not much to write about yet, because they generally aren't very responsive to these emails So, next week will go something like this: I hope our startup’s CEO will fully enjoy the trip and the exhibition in Luxembourg, while I’ll be preparing for VivaTech in Paris and supervising students from SKEMA BS who are submitting their AI projects this year. I’ll also check out a couple of projects from the new Fighters cohort at Station F; I’ve already met one of them and its founder this week, but there are a couple more that I’m curious about See you later, and take care - I'm off to get some rest ! ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/06/2136425_Image.png) ### Thoughts aloud: So what do you call it? Here’s the story: we returned the keys a little over two months ago, on March 23, and the agency sent us a move-out report that doesn’t match the move-in report at all - neither in form nor in content - and then vanished. No response, no word For two months, we bombarded them with letters asking why they wouldn’t just return our deposit - which, by the way, is about 3,000 euros, not counting the 10 percent penalty required by law, which has been increasing since April Two registered letters with delivery receipts also vanished into thin air It's not that I'm exactly eager for a fight or to go to court, but - just like in that saying about the good fairy - I'm not exactly in the best of moods I mean, since I'm hanging out in France anyway - why not fuck someone over in court? What's the worst that could happen? I've never done anything like that before, so why not give it a shot? --- For those who aren't familiar with the joke about the good fairy: > “Hello, kind lady. Who are you?” - “Me? I'm the good fairy!” - “Then why are you holding an axe?” - “You see, I'm in a fucking bad mood this morning!” ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/06/e3a91cc4-6bbe-41b7-8ae2-438085ac8299.png) ### Weekly Bullshit Roundup #11 URL: https://www.krdn.io/weekly-bullshit-roundup-11/ Last updated: 2026-05-31T13:58:44.000Z It’s time for my weekly column. I skipped it last week, but it was pretty clear that the week went to shit, just like all my plans and a whole lot of other stuff. But let’s take it one step at a time --- Let’s start with the hospitalization, since it didn’t take very long at all to go from having a nice time with friends to ending up in the emergency room and then undergoing surgery The inflammation that had been bothering me (which, as it turned out, was congenital) finally decided to flare up in a big way during my last few days of HIIT and really give me a hard time. My temperature shot up from normal to 39°C in just a couple of hours, which only reinforced the feeling that something was clearly wrong. Well, in France, the process is pretty straightforward: they hospitalize you, they operate on you, and once they’re sure you’re okay - as far as you can be after anesthesia - they send you home So, less than 24 hours had passed between the moment I thought, “Oh, I need surgery,” and the moment I thought, “Oh, I need a home health aide.” It was an amazing, and somewhat funny, reaction to the effects of waking up from anesthesia. I’ve heard lots of different funny and not-so-funny stories, but mine went like this. First of all, I woke up feeling pretty coherent. The next thing I knew, for some reason, I started fiddling with the monitor next to me - you know, the one that tracks your pulse, breathing, and all that. Then I decided to read the chart they’d left nearby (which, by the way, was very interesting, but I couldn’t make heads or tails of it) Then I started pestering the nurse to get some water. Since you’re not allowed to drink before surgery, it’s hot in the ward, it’s hot outside, and now this. So in the end, I had to wait another 30 minutes to get some water And in the end, as soon as everyone was convinced that I was sane and nothing else had broken (or been broken), they let me go home --- Speaking of plans - all my plans have gone out the window. First and foremost, there’s a long (very long) recovery period ahead. At least a month of complete abstinence from sports, weightlifting, and everything else. Here’s an interesting thing - since I was hospitalized, I haven’t touched a cigarette; it’s been almost a week now. I’ve switched to an e-cig with the lowest nicotine content, which I’ll be cutting back on. Maybe I’ll finally be able to quit - who knows? Needless to say, my race plans went out the window too. I might be back in shape by October, but my physical condition probably won’t be, so the ultra is off the table for next year Well, I'll be staying in France until around June 15, which is kind of nice, too --- About HIIT and the Ministry of Health - it was really cool, with tons of helpful lectures and valuable connections along the way. I just have one question that’s still unanswered: how can you bring a product to market while complying with all the regulations without starving to death in the process? Seriously. It seems to me that a startup entering that space needs a runway of about four years of comfortable living. And I guess you could say that the week of intensive lectures was reinforced by hands-on practice - you heard how it all works from the inside, and now you’ll see it in action --- So, to sum up the news from the past few weeks: right now, all my energy is focused on work, recovery, and - to be honest - figuring out what else to do. Because on the one hand, no one’s stopping me from going for a walk, but on the other hand, even the camera is way too heavy to carry around for long periods of time. Simply put - be careful what you wish for, because here’s the thing: I wrote that I wanted some rest and peace, and I got both rest and peace. The only thing is, the price of this whole situation ... ### Happy birthday to me ! Maybe even smarter, but I’m not willing to make any public statements before consulting the evidence Thirty-nine is the age when your back makes sound effects, your patience becomes selective, and your idea of a wild night is being left alone I’m not saying I’m old. I’m just saying if I sit down too comfortably, there’s a real chance I may become a piece of furniture Anyway, happy birthday to me - tired, tougher, and still mildly confused If you’d like to contribute to my retirement home, crutches, or a new camera, [click here](https://revolut.me/kreydan/pocket/wkjyL3sCLh?ref=krdn.io) ### News #3 URL: https://www.krdn.io/news-3/ Last updated: 2026-05-25T15:05:09.000Z The first day after the surgery is going pretty well overall, even though it's completely fucked up outside and the thermometer is showing brain-melting heat > **Thank you to everyone who wrote in and offered to help, and thank you to everyone who helped** I really didn't expect to spend the weekend under the surgeon's knife, and then find out that I have a very long recovery ahead of me As you can see, I’m staying in France for an as-yet-undetermined period of time. Or rather, for at least eight days, because I have to go back to the hospital to make sure the healing process is going smoothly Plus, I need to change the bandage every day, but the hospital issued a prescription at the request of a medical specialist Well, as a friend of mine joked today, “But you’re not even 40 yet.” In short, we’re recovering, eating healthy (or not) food, and chilling ### News #2 URL: https://www.krdn.io/news-2/ Last updated: 2026-05-24T21:11:56.000Z Hi, readers :) The most important thing to note in this update is that I’m doing great (as much as possible after surgery) and feeling good I ran into some issues that required urgent medical attention, but once again, everything turned out fine The only thing is, I can’t write long posts right now, so this is just a quick update 😄 ### Photos: It's Wednesday, my dudes ! The entire week will be dedicated to lectures on how to work (and how things work) in the fields of healthcare and startup integration The hospital, the ministry itself, and a couple of other government agencies will be hosting the winners of this competition to help them better understand the entire process - and to give me a chance to brush up my medical French a bit, haha. I can talk about a lot of things in professional medical French, but I still can’t really discuss the weather properly --- ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/05/DSC_7028-1.jpg) Overall, last week was incredibly depressing for me - whether it was because I couldn’t work out due to illness, the constant rain outside, or some other inexplicable factor, I’m in a state close to bedridden depression, and that’s where I’m slowly slipping Well, as of the time of writing, there are 10 days left until my birthday, which is also filling my head with thoughts about an existential crisis In short, you can let yourself feel down today, but tomorrow you’ll have to grit your teeth and put on a smile, because things won’t get done on their own --- ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/05/DSC_7037.jpg) To some extent, it bothers me that these posts have recently turned into a sort of chronicle of my depression. I don’t want to make excuses, but I do want to explain. I really want to share interesting content, photos, and travel stories, but right now reality is all about the crazy back-and-forth between two countries and my constant attempts to adjust my daily life to this situation. And depression has been a part of my life for a couple of years now, sometimes receding, sometimes returning. So it wouldn’t be right not to share this part of it; I’ve kept it bottled up inside for long enough already --- ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/05/DSC_7031.jpg) But it’s just a passing phase that will blow over in time. Or maybe it’s just pre-birthday blues Talk to you later, and stay healthy ! ### Thoughts aloud: PRE-FUCKTION URL: https://www.krdn.io/thoughts-aloud-pre-fucktion/ Last updated: 2026-05-14T21:48:17.000Z > PRE-FUCKTION : (n.) No matter how long you prepare for a shot, how hard you search for it, or what you endure - like I did today, running through an open field to escape a sudden hailstorm - more often than not, the very reason you picked up your camera in the first place happens completely by chance ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/05/DSC_7050.jpg) Meet the **Common Buzzard**, that little bastard who has been bothering me ever since I moved to Germany, flying over the fields and taunting me from the very moment I first saw it in the sky Speaking of luck - I took this photo just as I was almost back home, soaked to the skin and thinking I should probably come back to this in the evening. And there he was, perched on the sign, and thanks to my quick reflexes, I managed to spot him just before he flew away ### Weekly Bullshit Roundup #9 URL: https://www.krdn.io/weekly-bullshit-roundup-9/ Last updated: 2026-05-10T20:00:36.000Z Probably the worst bullshit of the week is that the week started off with some kind of crap and continues to be like this I mean, as usual, this shit happened right at the worst possible moment, when nobody was expecting it. There were some warning signs, though - last weekend I noticed on my devices that my body temperature was high and my heart rate was up, which are kind of like signs that you’re catching a cold, man, so get ready - you’re in for a rough time Well, I guess the back-and-forth trip to Paris added even more stress to my system, and by the end of this week, it seems my body finally decided to shut me down for good. It didn’t turn out well. Because you have to stop training again, you have to get back into shape, and depression - that little bitch - sits there waiting to throw another black cloud over you, and there you go --- ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/05/IMG_8628.jpg) ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/05/IMG_8627.jpg) That’s why today’s health biometrics look like this. By the way, it’s funny that in any case, you can predict the impending disaster based on certain metrics But I’m not going to dwell on the topic of health in this week’s column. Or am I? So basically, that’s the gist of the week - and the whole thread along with it. We’re sitting around feeling under the weather, dragging ourselves into the office, skipping workouts, and complaining about the whole thing. The trip to Paris flew by completely unnoticed - we arrived, hung out at the conference, packed up, and headed back to Germany. It took a day, about 12 hours on the road, 1,200 km round trip. Fun. On May 17, we’re off to Paris again, but this time for a week, because the French Ministry of Health’s HIIT program is starting. Fun fact: I understand medical French way better than any other kind of French. The same shit happens with “chatting” - basically, it’s easier for me to explain what’s going on inside your body using medical terminology than to say the weather outside is fucking shitty So I wolfed down some baguette and pastries this morning - the highlight of my whole week. I also had a little quiet laugh at the photographer’s expense (I shouldn’t have done that - everyone was there), though now I’ll probably have to dig through my conference photos for the organizers. Because jokes aside, showing up to shoot the gaffe with a Canon 18-55 lens - which, if you’ve lost the cap, you can only use by plugging the mount - is certainly impressive --- It certainly looks like I really had to struggle to put together this weekly recap, because the week was a total mess. Or maybe I’m just not really in the right frame of mind to express my thoughts clearly and openly right now. Who knows. I guess depression is weighing me down right now, too. Some kind of invisible (yeah, right, as if it’s not obvious) companion in my life Anyway, what’s done is done; we’re all about honesty and openness here **P.S.** If you try to speak German with your neighbors, you’ll find out that you don’t understand a damn thing I wonder, is there such a thing as a French accent in German? ### Thoughts aloud: To Paris and back URL: https://www.krdn.io/thoughts-aloud-to-paris-and-back/ Last updated: 2026-05-08T10:53:24.000Z The very first morning after returning to Paris - and with just a single free moment before heading back to Germany - I did something I’d suddenly been dreaming of the whole time I was in Germany. I bought myself a fresh, warm baguette. And a few other delicious pastries, without which a French morning just isn’t a morning On the one hand, you could say it’s no big deal, but on the other - holy cow, how I missed that ### Weekly Bullshit Roundup #8 URL: https://www.krdn.io/weekly-bullshit-roundup-8/ Last updated: 2026-05-03T18:35:28.000Z Just think about it - it’s been over a month since this column started, I’ve already been in Germany for two weeks, and it’s basically May already. What a fucking surprise - you guys invented a time machine and now look at this At one point, I even had the thought of writing a monthly recap instead of a weekly one, but then I dismissed the idea. It just doesn’t feel like the right time to write anything particularly important On the other hand, both April and May are shaping up to be packed with stuff to do, especially May. And my birthday’s coming up soon, too, but true to form, I’ll either get a bout of depression over it again or just ignore it in my usual way. Ask me how my last three or four birthdays went - I wouldn’t even remember exactly what I did or how I spent them ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/05/DSC_6751.jpg) Life in Germany has really started to fall into a normal rhythm - work, rest, running. Yay! I’ve found food that doesn’t have a kilogram of sugar crammed into it, and basically, my taste preferences have started to take shape here. Plus, the weather has stabilized - finally, we can say it’s spring, with summer just around the corner. Because France and Paris are geographically further south, and it’s just plain warmer there --- My training on the hills has finally gotten underway, and this week my heart rate has finally stabilized at a lower, more relaxed level - which is definitely a cause for celebration. But I need to buy poles now, because there isn’t exactly a lot of time left until October. Before you know it, I’ll be standing at the starting line. But there’s still a mountain of work to do. First and foremost, mileage - 40 kilometers a week is certainly good, but I need to get it up to at least 100 and build core and upper body strength. And I need to keep an eye on my weight again, because losing even 3 kilos will have a negative impact on my body and how I feel I’m eagerly looking forward to the day when my training schedule starts to include regular half-marathons and then weekly marathons. The fact that the plan hints at a 70-kilometer long run in September suggests it won’t be boring at all. But those are some seriously long-term plans, so I won’t go into too much detail about them right now Because things change, and so do plans. And, for example, no one is immune to injury - today I twisted my ankle badly in my favorite Hoka, which suggests it might be a good idea to switch to shoes better suited to the local terrain ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/05/DSC_6771.jpg) Actually, I think we should make a separate thread for ultra-marathon training - as they say, if this post gets enough likes ... Now for the bad news - my Ultrahuman ring has finally given up on me, deciding it doesn’t want to charge anymore. I think this is the main problem with devices like this, since the design doesn’t really allow for replacing the battery. The good news is that support sent me a new ring without any questions, and I hope it will arrive any day now. Even so, despite having a Garmin, I’ve gotten used to relying on certain metrics from the ring to understand aspects of my life and workouts. We’re waiting for the new one and will continue using it (though this has made me consider switching to the Pro version they recently introduced in the future) On the other hand, I’m not entirely sure why I need it yet. I’ve already checked and gathered the data I needed for my work; now it’s just a matter of testing it out for myself and trying to figure out what’s actually useful and works, and what doesn’t --- ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/05/DSC_6750.jpg) Speaking of work, I can’t help but mention this, even though there’ll be a separate article about it this week. Long story short, we have a competitor. Well, not really a competitor - it’s a college girl working on a project that’s very similar to ours. Very. So much so that it’s fucking carbon-copy. And everything would be fine - competition is great, and the world definitely needs more projects like this - if it weren’t for one thing that’s just fucking driving me crazy This project is an attempt to build it using that AI code that’s all the rage these days. Fuck. I get it, the investors are breathing down your neck, you need to get the product out there - that’s the whole deal. But, fuck you all, you’re working with medical (!) data, which is personalized, and a leak wouldn’t just cause problems for users - it would also screw up the projects running alongside it. But then again, that’s a whole other story worth telling --- ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/05/DSC_6749.jpg) To wrap things up, here’s a quick story about my attempts to photograph a hawk that lives in our fields. This is the second weekend in a row that I’ve only been able to admire it from afar, without being able to get a decent photo. Either this devil flies about 300 meters away from me, as in the photo above, so that despite the camera and lens, I simply can’t get close enough to it at all, or it flies right by, but again - the photo below is an example of when I seemed to have captured it, but the evening twilight blurred the entire frame as it flew over the field. It’ll be kind of like with the kingfisher back in the day, which I chased for a year and a half in the woods near Paris. I caught it in the end, but it was quite a battle ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/05/DSC_6747.jpg) Arms out of the ass, for example - you can't just post good shots all the time --- That's all for now. See you later. I'll be in Paris for a day on May 6, but I'm not sure yet if I'll be able to meet up with anyone. Have a great week! ### Photos: Common Redstart URL: https://www.krdn.io/photos-common-redstart/ Last updated: 2026-05-01T09:24:43.000Z Today I noticed a nest being built in the garden by my house, right next to the front door. And since I smoke here quite often without straying too far, these little guys are already hopping around quite calmly nearby, seemingly unfazed by my presence. We’ll see - once the chicks hatch, I might need to find another spot to smoke so as not to disturb the birds ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/05/DSC_6719.jpg) ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/05/DSC_6727.jpg) --- **Taken with:** Nikon Z7II, 400 mm f/7.1; ISO 100, 1/100 sec. As many of you know - and if you don’t, here’s the news - I’m running the **Le Sacré Trail (87 km)** in October. Right now, my training is focused entirely on that race, and I don’t have any other races planned (at least for now) ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/04/reims-champagne-run-6-interface-Parcours-Trail-2024.png.webp) The route runs through the French region where champagne is produced (which is served before - I’m not sure about “during” - and after the race). It’s a very beautiful region if you want to spend a day of your life running there. But in fact, Reims itself, as the capital of the region and home to world-famous champagne houses, is a wonderful place to visit at any time But all of that is just a prelude to the best part. And there’s only one highlight: the trail’s profile. With some allowance, this trail could be called flat, since the total elevation gain is just 1,300 meters for the entire route ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/04/reims-champagne-run-6-interface-87km-scaled.png.webp) It’s all in the picture above. So, to sum it up, I’m going to try out a new experiment in structuring my workouts What's the idea here? As you probably know, the entire running training process is based on heart rate zones, which are determined either using fairly rough formulas, based on how you feel, or by going to a lab and taking a test. The latter, by the way, is the most accurate - but also the most expensive option. You could also blindly trust, say, a Garmin to determine your heart rate, but that would be approximate. Very approximate The problem with my current approach is that, as someone who’s used to following standards, I train by heart rate zones. But there’s one thing that really bothers me when I run around our area. When you run uphill, your heart rate skyrockets, which - on the one hand - is kind of okay, because at the same pace, the effort and load become much higher; on the other hand, to keep your heart rate steady and not let it rise above Zone 3, you have to slow down significantly, sometimes even switching to a walk Over the past week, I’ve shifted my focus more toward maintaining my pace at all costs, which, on the one hand, helps with adaptation, but on the other, is really pushing my body to its limits. And now, after much deliberation with myself and my coach, we’ve decided to try training based on heart rate and giving it our all. Light workouts will still be heart rate-based; where necessary, we’ll walk. After a month or two of adaptation, we’ll be running uphill at the same heart rate But when it comes to speed work, we keep up the pace no matter what. This includes interval training, tempo runs, and high-intensity interval training (the kind where your heart rate hits 190+ during short bursts, but it takes a couple of days to recover afterward) And finally (though I’m not entirely sure I was actually looking forward to this), I’m starting to incorporate pole running into my training. It’s funny that you first have to learn how to walk with them! Only then can you start running. Because otherwise, they’ll probably get in your way more than help you In short, I’m guaranteed a summer of questionable pleasures. All that’s left is to buy a new bike and do everything I can to avoid signing up for the pool. Otherwise, it’s not far from there to an Ironman ### Weekly Bullshit Roundup #7 URL: https://www.krdn.io/weekly-bullshit-roundup-7/ Last updated: 2026-04-26T20:37:55.000Z The day has finally arrived. The Sunday news update is back on our channel. To be honest, nothing particularly new has happened this week, which is actually a good thing. Life is settling into a pleasant, steady routine: work, home, and running workouts. Although the latter aren’t quite consistent enough for my liking yet, but that’s something I need to work on --- First and foremost, I need to focus on making this a regular part of my routine and come up with a slightly modified training plan that takes into account - let’s just say - the terrain. Because running on hills with an elevation gain of up to 100 meters over a 5-kilometer run is, let’s just say, a bit of a challenge Part of the route is pretty pleasant - you’re flying downhill with the wind at your back and not breaking a sweat - but then comes the second part, hahaha, fuck, 2 kilometers uphill, and that’s where it gets really tough. The good news is that my muscles don’t really care. The bad news is that my heart rate shoots up to around 160 beats per minute, which isn’t great. It’s like I’m not even hitting my threshold, but it’s still pretty tough Speaking of running, two interesting things happened today. First, Dima, an acquaintance of mine whose running achievements I’ve been following, finally broke the Russian record at the Düsseldorf Marathon. He’d been trying for a couple of years, and he finally did it. Second, two people ran the London Marathon in under two hours (!). > Joke of the day: “You run a marathon in two hours, and you're second” To understand the scale of this achievement, only one person has ever done this before - **Eliud Kipchoge** \- but back then, the world record wasn't recognised. That's because he did it on a specially prepared course, accompanied by a pack of pacers who gave him a huge boost And here there are two right away, and both are two hours long. One of them is faster than the one mentioned above. Awesome --- ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/04/DSC_6694.jpg) Continuing the story of my physical - and not-so-physical activity: a couple of unpleasant things happened this week. First, I went through a somewhat depressive episode - or maybe my brain just decided to take the day off - but it ended up with me sleeping a total of 15 hours from Wednesday to Thursday, and Thursday itself just disappeared from my life. I can’t say I was exactly active on Friday, but I was a bit more lively The second issue is that, after about five months of use, my Ultrahuman ring seems to have given up on me. Something happened to the battery, so I’ll probably have to order a new one through customer support. Fortunately, they replace them without any questions asked, which is great It’s true that I viewed the UH primarily as an experiment for my startup anyway, to see what data it collects and how it transmits it. But on the other hand, it’s become a great companion to my Garmin Enduro 3, because I liked the way it displayed certain biometric metrics much better > Well, at least the new one won't have been chewed on by a horse --- ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/04/DSC_6681.jpg) ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/04/DSC_6701.jpg) By the way, we’re still looking for a riding stable in Germany so we can get back into horseback riding. I’ve spotted two while out for a run, but I’m not sure yet if they offer lessons. I definitely saw a QR code on the gate at one of them, but I don’t have a great memory, and I’m running without my phone right now --- A few words about the photo above. The first thing that surprised me about the local forests is that every birdhouse and every clearing has its own number and name. You’re walking through the woods and suddenly - oh, that titmouse has moved from birdhouse 133 to 145 at the next intersection! I’ll have to congratulate it on its new home. And overall, navigation in the forest - my hat’s off to them. Everything is labeled: there are hares here, flowers there, private property over there where they shoot and generally aren’t happy to see you. Go here, don’t go there. For the first time in my life, I paid for a **Komoot** subscription to make walking around easier --- With that, I’ll say goodbye for now on this Sunday evening, and I wish you all a great new beginning to the week! As you’ve probably noticed, every article on the site starts with something like “**News:**” followed by the details. Except maybe “**Weekly Bullshit**” - those have numbered issues, but it’s a very regular column that comes out every week. And I guess it’ll be the same story with the “News.” Probably, because I haven’t decided yet whether I want to number them or specify exactly what the news is in the headline It doesn’t matter. What matters is that the site has finally started to take on a meaningful structure and different types of articles, which I’d like to briefly describe now What we currently have in place, and what’s already working: **Field Notes** \- brief, situational notes, usually taking just a couple of minutes to read, which I write from time to time, out of context, on various topics **News** \- couldn’t have said it better myself. Brief updates, for example, about my availability in Paris, upcoming broadcasts, or other important changes **Photos** \- it’s simple here - this tag will be used only for posts with photos. For example, models, places, and others - little text, lots of photos. Photos are an important part of this site, but some of them deserve their own space and tag **Stories** \- a personal section, closed off from the outside internet, with many (in the future) personal stories, experiences, and other things I want to share, but don’t want to do so with the entire internet **Thoughts aloud** \- another short topic, about whatever’s on my mind at the moment, something I want to share right here and right now. Kind of like Twitter, but with a few more characters and a bit more substance **Weekly Bullshit** \- the week’s highlights in all their glory. Just as they are, simply because I can What else is on the agenda? Two things that I think are important. First, there will be a section on technology in a broader sense. Work, the use of AI - things that might be interesting from the perspective of what I actively do every day in terms of tech. The second thing - well, sooner or later we had to talk about this - is a paid subscription for certain content. On the one hand, I don’t mind sharing; on the other, a new camera isn’t going to buy itself As for paid content, I’m not sure yet what it will look like or what it will include. On the one hand, I think it might include some photos, some articles from Tech, and some other content; on the other hand, it might just be a subscription with the same access model as that for registered users. But then it would be completely fair to those who pay Feel free to share your ideas in the comments - for example, what you’d be willing to pay for and what you wouldn’t. I’ve been thinking about turning my photos into postcards and sending them out to my followers once a month Or whatever else comes to mind --- One important - and unfortunate - point. I know I have subscribers from Russia, and I know that none of the payment systems work there. We’ll figure something out. Let’s just be thankful that the site at least still loads ### Thoughts aloud: Apple Development Program URL: https://www.krdn.io/thoughts-aloud-apple-development-program/ Last updated: 2026-04-21T16:59:59.000Z A post about a burned ass. Yesterday, while updating the latest beta version of our app, I noticed that Apple's developer program - the so-called developer certificate - had expired Shit happens, but you’d think the problem could be solved with two mouse clicks and 99 bucks. But that wasn’t the case. First off, the site redirects you to another site that asks for payment details. Okay, I filled it out and paid. Then I get an email saying my order has been ACCEPTED for processing. Fucking hell, I just bought a digital product - do you really need a separate service just to move a couple of lines in a database or something? Okay. Fucking awesome. Twenty-five minutes later, I get an email saying my order has been processed and my subscription has been renewed. Seems like everything’s sorted? Nope, not a goddamn chance Then, for the next two long hours, I just kept clicking two buttons - the first was to update the status on the program’s website, and the second was inside Xcode so it could automatically pull in that damn certificate to sign the version. All in all, three fucking hours just so the app icons would break as shit during the build and it would stop compiling ... ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/04/hill_reywer_An_anthropomorphic_cat_in_a_hoodie_agressivly_worki_44868550-aaba-443f-aa6b-32edb2a318a5.png) ### Weekly Bullshit Roundup #6 URL: https://www.krdn.io/weekly-bullshit-roundup-6/ Last updated: 2026-04-19T19:24:52.000Z Hello, dear readers, Today’s post is marked by two significant events. First, for the very first time, it will feature real photos instead of the now-familiar cat illustration that the AI used to draw for us Second, for the first time ever, the topic of this post will not be about moving Since I’m done moving around for a while, I’ve gotten my residence permit - and hooray! I’ll be able to settle down in Germany for the long term The thing is, the longer we’re here, the more I find myself thinking that, overall, Germany seems like a much better place for startups than France The flip side is that France, as the country where I’ve lived for so long, has given me a great deal. In fact, it has become a second home to me. To some extent, one could probably say it’s my only home. But I don’t want to get into that here and now ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/04/DSC_6553.jpg) In short, this is something we’ll need to explore in quite some depth. Because, judging by the first week - which, while mostly positive, has shown itself to be a rather questionable endeavor that may still come back to bite us later - we’ll just have to wait and see how things play out That's Germany in a nutshell --- Otherwise, my training routine has gradually started to settle into a rhythm over the past week, although I’m still missing quite a few sessions - which, overall, isn’t affecting my fitness at all, but I’d probably like to be more consistent. And after all, there isn’t exactly a lot of time left until October, and a 90-kilometer ultramarathon isn’t exactly a quick trip to the store for a beer Well, I’m dying to get back on a bike, but mine’s still in Paris, and to be honest, I really didn’t want to drag it over here - partly because of its advanced age, and partly because of its rather sorry state. So I’m open to recommendations (and donations) for a new bike, which I’ll be buying here ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/04/DSC_6560.jpg) ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/04/DSC_6558.jpg) Just a moment of weird, gloomy, and inexplicable fuckery in the photo. I think it has something to do with the grape vines, but I can’t really prove it. But overall, the first time I saw this stuff in the woods while out for a run, it really motivated me to run faster Continuing on the topic of running - the terrain here is pretty hilly, so gaining 50 to 100 meters of elevation over a 5-kilometer run is pretty standard. At first, it really throws off your pace while you’re trying to stabilize your heart rate on the uphills, but on the other hand, those damn hills teach you how to run. Otherwise, all my runs have been on flat terrain, which can lead to trouble in an ultra. But the ultra course is flat, by the way. Over 90 km, there’s only 1,300 meters of elevation gain, which sounds okay, if not for the number of kilometers mentioned at the beginning ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/04/DSC_6591.jpg) To put it simply, life is entering a phase of relative stability. Which, all things considered, is quite a relief given my mental state, which has been a bit fragile over the past couple of weeks So, this is the kind of week it’s going to be - we’ll be settling in, running through the local fields, and exploring the area and its culture. And learning the language while we’re at it. Because while they certainly speak English here much more often and better than the French do, they still prefer to speak their native language. Anyway, I’m learning German. It’ll be the fifth language in my collection. It’s not like I speak all five fluently, but it seems like the number of places where I can at least find food and a place to stay is growing rapidly So we'll see what next week brings, but for now, I really want to focus primarily on stabilization ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/04/DSC_6579.jpg) --- All photos by André Kuzmin; permitted for non-commercial or personal use with attribution to the author ### Field Notes: Achievements and next steps URL: https://www.krdn.io/field-notes-achievements-and-next-steps/ Last updated: 2026-04-17T16:31:36.000Z There are two pieces of great news to wrap up this week. First, I received my extended residence permit in France, valid until 2030\. That’s great news - if you plan to live that long Of course, it wasn’t without its share of adventures, but first of all, it’s not the prefecture’s fault - they did everything they could on their end to get it done quickly. And second, for fuck’s sake, is it really that hard to read the docs and get your shit together ahead of time? The second piece of news, which I also consider moderately good, is that it looks like I’ll be able to settle down in Germany until May and avoid any unnecessary hassle, aside from work --- So my plans for this weekend are nothing more than catching up on sleep, finally unpacking all my stuff, and stopping living out of suitcases and boxes. And I’ll probably take those long-promised photos of the surroundings with a decent camera - and believe me, there’s plenty to show, from the surrounding landscapes to some very interesting birds I haven’t photographed yet. So, I’m adding an item to my to-do list: finally pick up the camera and start snapping away ### Field Notes: First week URL: https://www.krdn.io/field-notes-first-week/ Last updated: 2026-04-16T17:39:31.000Z My first week in Germany looks just like the website's mascot in the picture above. I don't understand a thing, but it's so fucking interesting It’s funny that just as I was settling in here and wrapping up all the necessary arrangements on the host side, I already have to pack my bags and head back to Paris, because I need to finish up some administrative and other tasks this month So far, the biggest problem I've run into is: why the heck is everything here so sweet? I get the feeling that they've just thrown a couple of spoonfuls of sugar into every dish along the way, even if the recipe doesn't call for it at all. And here’s another funny thing about the stores: there’s a suspiciously large amount of food with Russian labels - like pelmeni, kefir, and the beloved “doctor’s” sausage But on the other hand, you can cruise down the highway at 180 km/h and watch as a BMW - or some other local car - following close behind at 250+ km/h flashes its high beams at you, trying to get you to move over into the slow lane so you don’t block the fast lane A little math: I’ll be covering 1,645 km this week. At the start of the week, it was Paris - Bern - Degmarn; today it’s Heilbronn - Stuttgart - Paris - Antony; and tomorrow I’ll be heading from Paris to Stuttgart and back to Degmarn. All of this from Sunday through Friday, and it’s great that only part of it is by car - otherwise, fuel prices are anything but encouraging From now on, I’ll add up the kilometer's in every post like this; let’s see how many there will be by the end of our adventure in Germany ### Field Notes: Degmarn, Germany URL: https://www.krdn.io/field-notes-degmarn-germany/ Last updated: 2026-04-21T14:57:19.000Z Hi there! For those who have been following our move to Germany, we’ve arrived and settled in a small town called Degmarn, not far from the purpose of our visit, **Campus Founders**, which is located 20 minutes away in Heilbronn. It’s a really small town, with a population of 760 as of 2022 It looks like I won’t be able to share any photos of the place and its surroundings this first week, since onboarding starts today and the whole week will be devoted to that But we’ll see - I won’t make any promises or rule anything out [Support the author ](https://buymeacoffee.com/krdn?ref=krdn.io) ### Weekly Bullshit Roundup #5 URL: https://www.krdn.io/weekly-bullshit-roundup-5/ Last updated: 2026-04-12T08:00:34.000Z Hey there, my dear reader, I guess since this is the fifth edition, I’m supposed to share some brand-new news, but nope. Not a damn thing. Not at all. The topic of this edition is - once again - this damn move This is a scheduled post that I’m writing in between packing my things and loading them into the car. So by the time it goes live on the website, I’ll be somewhere on the road between France and Germany - with a stop in Bern, Switzerland ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/04/hill_reywer_An_anthropomorphic_cat_in_a_hoodie_sitting_in_a_car_ecc9f6c6-edc8-4217-a563-15cf38694917.png) That’s why these illustrations of the cat’s expression capture exactly how I feel. I just want to sit down in the middle of the room and go, > **"AAAAAAa, fuck, I’m so fucking tired of this ... "** There. I’ve said it But life goes on. It’s just another move, and this time it’s for 3 to 6 months. Then you’ll read my post about coming back, our business trips from Heilbronn to Paris, and from Paris to Luxembourg. In short, it’s been a pretty hectic life, but can we slow down a bit now? ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/04/hill_reywer_An_anthropomorphic_cat_in_a_hoodie_standing_at_an_i_930d87ea-d197-44e0-97a9-cb8673b67ed5.png) Honestly, I don’t really have much to say about the past week - it’s been a bit of an energy-saving mode. I haven’t been in the office, except for today. We sorted through everything we need to take with us and what we need to leave behind, and we’ll probably be leaving Station F by September. We said goodbye to the colleagues who were still at work on Saturday. And that’s about it. Well, the evenings this week were devoted to the stable, where we sometimes hung out for four hours straight. So overall, my nerves are back in check, and I got to pet the horses to my heart’s content While I was at it, I stopped by my old address to check if any mail had piled up there, since I’d updated my new address everywhere - though maybe not everywhere. And well, it might already be on its way. Anyway, that’s about it here too; I just had a smoke on the alley where, over the past four years, probably more than a thousand cigarettes have been smoked I can say with almost 100% certainty that everything that could be done has been done, and everything that could be forgotten has been forgotten. And speaking of funny things, on April 17 I’ll be back in Paris - just for a day, though - to pick up some documents. Then again in May ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/04/hill_reywer_An_anthropomorphic_cat_in_a_hoodie_nervously_smokes_96e3a082-f06c-47ca-848b-81189a52a752.png) I think I’ll quote a classic to wrap things up: > **“... My old life is over, and I haven’t had time to build a new one...”** Those in the know already know, but I’ll tell the rest of you once it all comes to a close See you in Germany! ### Stories: Resettlement URL: https://www.krdn.io/stories-resettlement/ Last updated: 2026-04-07T17:12:05.000Z _This post is for subscribers only._ ### Field Notes: Horses #2 URL: https://www.krdn.io/field-notes-horses-2/ Last updated: 2026-04-07T13:24:03.000Z ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/04/DSC_6065.jpg) This post won’t be very long - but it will include photos from today’s equestrian class. My last week in Île-de-France before heading to Germany. The whole changeNOW saga is finally over; it took up three days at the start of the week and, as usual, cost me a couple of pounds. It actually went well, though I’m exhausted. You can read more about it [here](https://www.krdn.io/field-notes-changenow-day-1/) and [here](https://www.krdn.io/field-notes-changenow-day-2-3/) But my mood and state of mind definitely leave a lot to be desired. As usual, I got hit with depression before the trip - my head’s full of questions like “What the hell?” and “Why?” And fuck, seriously, this is my second move in about a month, not counting my main activities and work > As they say, “If you die, you’re a loser.” Be that as it may, all of this is moving forward with the inevitability of the heat death of the universe, so let’s just smile and keep waving --- ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/04/hill_reywer_An_anthropomorphic_cat_in_a_hoodie_is_furiously_thr_28554027-b20f-495b-92dc-4c2f2a458013.png) The funny thing about all this is that I have to be in Paris on April 17\. The prefecture sent me a text message saying my residence permit is finally ready. So we’ll spend a week settling into our new place, and then I’ll head to Paris for the paperwork, praying everything goes smoothly. Well, and then until May, there doesn’t really seem to be a reason to come back. Although, of course, I’m writing about it like this now, but knowing myself, my work, and all this from the experience of recent years - I’m just not going to say anything So that picture above really captures how I feel about everything that’s going on - trying to cram everything back into boxes or suitcases yet again, and then getting hit with this sudden bureaucratic surprise. But thanks - it’s not exactly comfortable wandering around the EU without a residence permit. Well, to be more precise, I do have a piece of paper from France, but it’s just a piece of paper from France. Even though it is a document --- ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/04/hill_reywer_An_anthropomorphic_cat_in_a_hoodie_sitting_in_the_m_0f6faa06-0f38-4fec-8612-344ffc9ba340.png) Basically, next week is going to be a constant cycle of fucking hell - fuck, I forgot again where to go and what to do > As my therapist said, what exactly didn't you understand about the word **tranquility**? Speaking of psychology - on ChangeNOW, during one of the many conversations I’ve had with people, I was invited to become a mental health advocate. As it turns out, in France this doesn’t require any courses or certification (almost), but they do take on people who, let’s say, have been through some shit and are able to share that experience in one way or another I don't mean the shitty stuff itself - there's more than enough of that in the world right now; you just have to turn on the news - but rather how to get through it all and fight back ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/04/hill_reywer_An_anthropomorphic_cat_in_a_hoodie_is_hugging_anoth_0fd69a44-36b6-46a3-82f7-dc6757fa1792.png) But something tells me that for now, I should sort out my own problems first, and only then help others. Of course, I won’t refuse to help, and I’m generally always willing to share some of my experiences - both the positive and pleasant ones, as well as the unfortunate ones That’s just how we live. The impulse to cycle 100 km out into the middle of nowhere grows stronger every day And considering that I haven't worked out this week... Well, you get the idea. Whenever you're in a tricky situation, either pedal as hard as you can or run - whichever feels more natural to you. Somehow, both options have stuck with me, but I can't exactly say they've had a positive effect on my health. In short - this isn't medical advice; you're better off seeing a doctor On that note, I’ll say goodbye until next week (though I’m 95.54399% sure I won’t write anything else before the next issue) [Support the author ](https://buymeacoffee.com/krdn?ref=krdn.io) ### Field Notes: ChangeNOW Day #2-3 URL: https://www.krdn.io/field-notes-changenow-day-2-3/ Last updated: 2026-04-07T13:24:10.000Z I have to admit, I just didn't have the heart to write two articles about the last two days at ChangeNOW. I dragged myself home, ate, and went to sleep. The key is to do it quietly, because you really don't have the energy to say a word But I can say that the last two days were much more intense than the first. The last day in particular was open to the public, and there were countless people who simply came to hang out and chat - including about our project ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/04/DSC_5791.jpg) There’s something quite inspiring about this. When people tell you that what you’re doing is necessary and important Here’s an important point for any startup: you need to verify in practice that it’s not just IMPORTANT AND NECESSARY to you as the creator, but that it also resonates with people. And I’m not talking about marketing, the market, or other important benchmarks - just a simple, human “yes,” as in, “this is important to me.” ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/04/DSC_5836.jpg) It really motivates me to keep working on the project, notwithstanding all its challenges --- ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/04/DSC_5818.jpg) A little context for the photos in the header and some of the photos in the article itself. At a certain point while working on the project, we found a way to simulate pain as closely as possible - not that it was strictly necessary, but there is one point to make. It’s pretty hard for us guys to explain and understand what painful periods and chronic pain are like, but we found a way to give a rough idea of what it feels like. By the way, I lost this week because on this lovely Sunday evening we were setting up our booth at the Expo It looks like I'm trying to shove half of my tasks into a pretty tight ass. And please don’t confuse this with the terminology, or the reader might get the impression that we’re generally normal here > No way. No fucking way ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/03/hill_reywer_A_pencil_drawing_of_an_anthropomorphic_cat_in_a_hoo_d8e69e42-daa7-4ac0-8351-274573d3f73f.png) In between those three days at ChangeNOW, I somehow managed to squeeze in the launch of a new healthcare program at Station F. And there was more to it than that - not to mention that this afternoon I helped a project get off the ground and provided consulting, plus I have meetings for other projects scheduled here and there, and, if all goes well, a manager from Microsoft is waiting to talk to me, whom I should also meet with, preferably before I leave for Germany There’s a great expression in Russian that describes life - it goes something like this (though I’m not sure I can translate it correctly into English) - but usually, when someone asks, “How’s life?” we reply, “It’s in full force, and everything’s coming down on my head.” ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/03/hill_reywer_A_pencil_drawing_of_an_anthropomorphic_cat_wearing__e5f64dd1-1126-4ab1-8289-a3469acbef10.png) I’d love to say, “I’m a kitty, and I’ve got paws,” but things move so fast that what you usually hear is, “Just get the fuck on with it Well, there you have it. Another thing about last week is that, first of all, I can’t for the life of me remember what exactly I did on any given day, and second, I don’t remember how it went at all. Yeah, there are some fragmented moments that have stuck in my memory, but otherwise it’s like it never even happened. Just boom, and it’s a new Monday That’s why this issue’s text feels more like me just needing to get things off my chest than the structure of the previous two, but that’s exactly what this column is for. And probably also for those who still think a startup is just some kind of game you play with business. No, it’s a damn abyss of responsibility, and not just in terms of the technical side, as it is for me, for example. There are also a lot of wonderful things you need to think about, and ideally, you should be able to do all of this at the same time Long story short. I've said my piece There’s one more thing that really screwed us over this week. A while back, back when I wasn’t posting on this site as regularly, our startup won the “[Made in 92](https://www.endoless.app/blog/beyond-the-trophy-what-women-founders-actually-compete-for/?ref=krdn.io)” contest (more details at the link on our website) But even if we win, it’ll only get us into the finals (or the next round) - I still haven’t quite figured out how it all works, but I have a feeling it’s just as bad as always. But more on that later. Anyway, this week we had to do another pitch in front of the jury. The pitch was in French, which isn’t exactly a walk in the park for me yet, so I’m just here as an observer or to answer questions if any come up. But here’s the thing: according to the rules, you have 2 minutes for the pitch. But also, by the rules, you get a 30% time bonus because French isn’t your native language, so as a foreigner, you’re allowed a little more time than a native speaker ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/03/hill_reywer_A_pencil_drawing_of_an_anthropomorphic_cat_wearing__2f172250-acef-4c63-a1f8-296f52e51e74.png) But fuck, the French wouldn't be French if they did everything by the book. First off, the host started the timer BEFORE we even began our pitch, without even giving us a chance to properly check the sound. The slide hadn’t been switched to our presentation. And as the cherry on top of this cake of shit and disorganization, there was the sound of a fucking siren signaling the end of time. A siren. They couldn’t figure out anything smarter than that. It’s nerve-wracking enough as it is, and then this happens ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/03/hill_reywer_A_pencil_drawing_of_an_anthropomorphic_cat_in_a_hoo_00d6b2ba-990d-4bc2-bb42-3eab5c375931.png) After that, we had a conversation about how we always tell everyone that, sure, we have a business in France, and France has done a lot of good things for us. But. As soon as it comes to serious issues - that’s when everything starts to go to hell. I feel like the number of times we’ve had to explain to various French organizations and investors what we actually do here is beyond counting. Seriously, though, it seems to me that despite all the talk of equality, the issue of women’s health and the funding of such projects basically exists in a world of its own. Although I think we can recall a classic saying here: “What is dead cannot die.” At some point, you can’t help but compare this to the story of how we got into the program in Germany. It took the jury just 15 minutes and a few questions to decide to accept us - to provide us with money, housing, and a scholarship on top of that. And you don’t owe them anything at all. Yes, there are a couple of issues, but they’re manageable. Come, and we’ll give you everything you need to develop your projects. That’s the part I just don’t get at all ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/03/hill_reywer_anthropomorphic_cat_in_hoodie_furiously_overturning_5a4ff7b3-5635-4d9b-bd2a-2d1c852cd005.png) But I guess I got a little carried away with my whining, even though I said at the beginning of this post that I don’t remember the past week. But apparently a couple of things really stuck with me, so here I am. I said what I had to say All in all, what can I say - see you at ChangeNOW, if fate brings you there, or maybe somewhere else in Paris; I’ll still be around until April 12 [Support the author ](https://buymeacoffee.com/krdn?ref=krdn.io) ### Field Notes: Horses URL: https://www.krdn.io/field-notes-horses/ Last updated: 2026-04-07T13:24:34.000Z One of the things I’ve really enjoyed and discovered in France is equestrian sports. To be honest, I’m not much of a rider, but I’m doing my best But somehow, over the past year and a half living in France, I’ve been visiting the stables regularly - mostly, of course, as a photographer Now, as I prepare to move to Germany, the number of visits has gone from a steady once a week on Saturdays to a steady 3–4 times a week, but you know, there’s one incredible upside to this. **It’s calming.** I feel like all that time spent saddling horses, interacting with them, caring for them, and taking photos really helped me unwind mentally ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/03/DSC_3571.jpg) You get used to their personalities, especially since you rarely get the chance to ride the same horse twice, and generally speaking, no one stops you from wandering among the stables and simply cuddling with them or feeding them something tasty and nutritious. **It’s funny how they recognize you.** It’s nice to know they’re happy to see you. And I’m not talking about people right now I’ve found my favorites there, and I always make sure to stop by to see them—unless, of course, they’re training in the dressage arena ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/03/DSC_5382.jpg) And visiting there really brought me back down to earth during my depressive episodes, which, all things considered, is actually quite helpful. It’s a different story if you’re afraid of horses - in that case, you can just appreciate the photos ### Weekly Bullshit Roundup #2 URL: https://www.krdn.io/weekly-bullshit-roundup-2/ Last updated: 2026-04-07T13:24:41.000Z Hello, and here’s our second edition of the weekly roundup As you can tell from the featured image, the main topic of the week remains moving. The good news is that this past Sunday, we managed to move all our belongings out of the old apartment. And over the past four years we’ve lived there, we’ve accumulated quite a lot of stuff, which was quite a hassle The bad news is that the apartment handover is, as usual, being handled with typical French flair and flair, because the agent in charge of all this - along with the agency - has simply stopped responding to messages. And the move-out and key handover are supposed to happen today, Monday. As I finish writing this article, we still have no idea when or at what time all this will take place It's all well and good, but we really should hand over the keys and bring this whole thing to a logical conclusion On the other hand, I’m not even sure if I should unpack some of my things, because I’ll have to pack them back up and head to Germany in early April --- ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/03/hill_reywer_A_pencil_drawing_of_an_anthropomorphic_cat_wearing__09522fc6-80c8-4825-9d75-11f68d89424c.png) News for those of you living in Paris who love events: our [startup](https://www.endoless.app/?ref=krdn.io) will be at the [ChangeNow](https://www.changenow.world/?ref=krdn.io) exhibition at the Grand Palais in late March. Come by to chat about women’s health, research, and other topics. And based on last year’s experience, it’s a pretty interesting event—which, as usual, I didn’t get to see, because when you have a booth there, the only time you have to walk around and look is during the setup of the exhibition itself; after that, it’s all about standing there and talking --- ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/03/hill_reywer_A_pencil_drawing_of_an_anthropomorphic_cat_wearing__b6b11f46-d7ea-4043-a78e-06275328b121.png) The latest update is that I’m gradually scaling back my involvement with certain startups, one of which has turned out to be extremely unprofitable for me in terms of time versus money. Going forward, I’ll likely remain only in an advisory role and focus on cybersecurity for other teams and my main job Continuing on the topic of work, I’m currently preparing to launch a study on the psychological impact of metrics from various wearable devices on the actual well-being of the people who wear them. I want to understand whether owners of such devices can actually say, “Okay, I feel great today, so I’ll ignore the metrics,” or, on the contrary, “The metrics aren’t looking good, so I’m going to lie down for a bit.” The idea for this survey had been floating around for quite a while, but I decided to actually go ahead with it after seeing the graph in the scale app on my phone. On it, my weight since last December has been skyrocketing. But the problem is that I’ve actually gained less than a kilogram overall. And looking at it without the details - it seems like I’m getting fat. But no, it just gives that impression ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/03/hill_reywer_A_pencil_drawing_of_an_anthropomorphic_cat_wearing__6e299d58-360c-42f7-b7cd-63ca6c4c3bfb.png) --- *This website may include images generated or enhanced using artificial intelligence (AI). And the first installment of this series will be titled “Moves.” Why the plural form? Let me explain So - **move number one** \- I think I’ve finally settled in the Paris suburbs, in **Antony**. I’ve actually been living here since December and even got to experience those wonderful snowy weeks. But yesterday I finally moved almost all of my remaining belongings from my apartment in Paris Not quite everything, because there are still a few odds and ends left there, but we’ll be vacating the apartment next week, on the 23rd. So I’ll bring the rest over later. Or maybe I’ll just throw them away. It’s just how it goes - you move, and you have this amazing chance to toss out everything you’ve been hoarding for years but, for some reason, never used Well, welcome to the new place and get the hell out of here, because you’re not wanted here. I’m talking about the stuff, just so you know. ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/03/truck.png) **But there's one big fucking “but” in all this...** **The upcoming move - number two** \- is going to be a total clusterfuck As it turns out, our startup has been accepted into a program in the wonderful city of **Heilbronn**, which, much to my regret, isn’t exactly close to Paris. To be more precise, it’s not even in France. **It’s in Germany**. Starting around April 13, and for at least 12 weeks - and up to six months in total - I’ll be living in two countries. My main base will be temporarily in Germany, but business commitments in Paris will require us to shuttle back and forth between the two cities and countries Well, I guess I’ll have to brush up on my German. I know, of course, that everyone will be speaking English during the program. But the town itself is small, and you can’t count on people at the bakery to understand you in English Oh, whatever - I came to France without knowing a word of French either, and now I can speak it pretty well ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/03/train.png) --- And since we’ve brought up Germany - let’s continue talking about work. Our startup was selected **as a winner of the HIIT program**, organized under the patronage of French President *Emmanuel Macron* and former Health Minister *Olivier Véran*, who served during the COVID-19 pandemic. The list of participants is quite impressive, but that’s not the point. The point is that one of the weeks in May will be entirely dedicated to introducing the startup’s founders to France’s healthcare ecosystem. Starting with the large network of hospitals in Île-de-France and ending with the Ministry of Health Speaking of language, my medical French is much better than my general French. But I’m not a doctor. I’m a technical director. Oh well, that’s just the nature of my job - it’s interesting in every sense of the word HIIT is the main reason I need to find a comfortable spot on a car, train, or bus so I can successfully zip between cities. Well, actually, there are a couple more things - first of all, I still don’t have my plastic residence permit, so I’ll need to stop by and pick that up, and our company has its headquarters in Paris, so I need to keep that in mind as well ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/03/docks.png) One thing that stands out is that, amidst all this variety, I really should make a stop in Luxembourg - though I don’t have any details yet, since I’m not quite sure how long I’ll be staying there - and finally take a vacation. Which is quite a challenge given all the hustle and bustle and other goings-on Otherwise, it’s been a quiet, peaceful week - the kind you’d be hard-pressed to find. Just kidding. Actually, this week has really worn me out, leaving me no time for running, the gym, or photography. Speaking partly about running, I’ve been in - let’s say - energy-saving mode myself, because first we packed boxes, then we carried boxes, then we lifted boxes. As a result, my Garmin showed me 80 floors climbed on Saturday, even though I live on the second floor - albeit the French second floor ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/03/boxes.png) That’s all for now - leave your comments, subscribe to the updates, and all that. Because ever since I started writing this column, I’ve realized one thing: **my life is anything but boring** ### Say a word about information security... URL: https://www.krdn.io/say-a-word-about-information-security/ Last updated: 2026-04-07T13:24:55.000Z Hello, everyone! As promised, this series of posts about work will begin with a rather interesting topic from a narrative perspective: **information security in the modern world**, where anyone can write and launch their own application, sometimes even successfully, but ... 📌 This article is not about how to find vulnerabilities or how to fix them — it is more of a cry from the heart of an author who sees the entire sector going down the shit hole > "We've got a security hole!!" - "Well, at least something's secure around here ..." An old joke that will never lose its relevance, especially now What we have now is a multitude of different websites and applications written by AI for different tasks and purposes. It's one thing if you write an application about yourself and for yourself, like a book. And there's no problem with that until such an **application becomes public** or, more interestingly, is created specifically to attract users I'm not saying that AI is a really crappy tool for writing code. It's a great tool that helps you a lot in your work. But only when you understand what you're doing. And that's where we enter the **brave new world of buggy software** ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/03/hill_reywer_Pencil_drawing_of_an_anthropomorphic_cat_in_a_black_c8980d74-c4e5-4e24-8b99-1a7c1dae8211.png) And here I won't even mention the mistakes we make in server configuration. What's more, in defense of this, I can say that most modern tools for creating applications out of the box are quite good at closing .env or using services with managed databases, which are generally well protected in themselves The most interesting story begins when we start using this code and these services on our own infrastructure. This is where our adventure into the abyss begins ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/03/hill_reywer_A_pencil_drawing_of_a_gate_standing_in_an_open_fiel_5c3d0e90-f3cf-45e9-ac0e-b216ff5e4921.png) > B for Backup Next, I will analyze the main errors that I, as a security analyst, most often find in these applications: Server configuration errors take the well-deserved first place in our list. You run nmap and see everything that is running on the service published externally. Databases, open ports for mail, services, everything is publicly available, just reach out and grab it. And it's good if there is at least some authorization on the service. Or request limits, or... Okay, fuck it - in 90 percent of cases, it's all just sticking out there with its ass exposed Same thing with APIs - sticking out - yes! Authorization? No! Request limits - fuck that **Come and get user data** \- €1 per bundle at the market, free for the first person to find it, no registration or SMS required ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/03/hill_reywer_A_pencil_drawing_of_an_anthropomorphic_cat_in_a_hoo_c2f43f4a-e5b6-4cb9-a8c3-7088ad2ea30d.png) Seriously, any bot can find anything on the internet in seconds. Then they'll kick it open and poke a hole in it. And the most interesting thing is that you won't even notice. The vast majority of startups currently on the market do not monitor the huge number of requests to their servers, for example, and if someone simply starts scanning available services, you won't even notice it. And believe me, **protection against this is much cheaper than investigating a hack later** Next come pieces of configurations and keys from various APIs embedded in the code. It's good that this is stored in a private repository, otherwise you might wake up in the morning and find a reason to tear your hair out, because your AWS/Azure/GCP/etc. (underline as appropriate) **suddenly became 800,000,000 instead of the expected 800 euros** because someone found your key and had a good time using resources at someone else's expense. Holy shit, free stuff ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/03/hill_reywer_Pencil_drawing_of_an_anthropomorphic_cat_in_a_hoodi_5a545910-77bc-4a76-b177-b8479a17fa44.png) Speaking of the security of the applications themselves - come on, a complete list of everything that is included in the usual AI code - ID substitution in requests? Easy, just change it and get access to someone else's data. It is very rare when validation is tied to such things. What a mess with tokens. It's good if they weren't stored in local storage. A flood of injections, SQL, XSS, just an operating manual. Take it and do it I guess we should end on a positive note. Despite all the chaos that has ensued, help has come from the creators of the models themselves, who have started adding various features to improve security. But again, AI is a good tool when you clearly understand what you are doing and how you are doing it The problem is that this mainly undermines the trust of both users and investors in startups. **You launched, everything was great, and then you suddenly screwed up. Your data has been leaked. You have betrayed their trust.** And everyone who follows you will have difficulty trusting you from the very beginning, because you have already screwed up ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/2026/03/hill_reywer_Pencil_drawing_of_an_anthropomorphic_cat_in_a_hoodi_9f0aaecd-854e-4d02-b0c0-7b847f80f3b9.png) Below, I will attach several articles that provide a vivid and accessible overview of modern AI applications [The Dark Side of Vibe Coding: Security Gaps Nobody Talks AboutWhy AI-coded applications are creating a new generation of security vulnerabilities.![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/icon/faviconV2)AkinciborgAkinciborg Security Team![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ae/dc/aedca787-f709-4e1a-97d5-f53dfb0bb7ff/content/images/thumbnail/global-pentest-preview.jpg)](https://www.akinciborg.com/blog/posts/vibe-coding-security.html?ref=krdn.io) [Lovable AI Security Vulnerabilities: 16 Flaws Exposed via Vibe Hacking - AIThinkerLabDiscover 16 critical Lovable AI security vulnerabilities found through vibe hacking. Among dozens of hundreds of responses, one stood out as the leader in terms of the number of likes and comments: > **“I'm fine.”** Well, I can say that this is still the case. Why? This is a topic for a separate long article about upbringing, social status, and the expectations of the very society in which we live Perhaps when I finally finish writing the article about my depression, which has been sitting in my drafts for probably three weeks now, if not longer, there will be part of the answer there. At least from my side --- But we've digressed considerably. About a year ago, I realized that I didn't have the energy for the website, its maintenance, and photography, so during a period of severe depression, I simply took it down As it later turned out, although the platform allows data to be stored for recovery, this does not apply to photos that were used to illustrate articles In general, it is not possible to restore everything as it was. But on the other hand, the end is always a new beginning Simply put, the website is awaiting a relaunch In fact, I want to do the following, and I hope my old readers, who I believe will return over time, will forgive me First and foremost, this is a blog about photography, where I share content and my opinion on it. But now I want to change the format a little. The photos will not go anywhere, but in general, there will be more personal stuff about me and my life. Because for some time now, I have decided that I can and want to talk about my depression, for example, quite openly And about work too. And in general. But here's what will change: very personal articles will not be available without an account on the site. There are reasons for this, first of all, everything that is posted on the Internet remains on the Internet, and there's nothing you can do about it, but on the other hand, I want to communicate with real people I know, which is why registration is required The second point is that professional articles and some content will be behind a paywall. Primarily professional content. I want to start writing a blog about work (even though I said I wouldn't, but I've decided to change my mind on this) So there you go Best regards, Andrei ## Sign up for KRDN.IO Shoot. Edit. Deploy.
